Western culture still perpetuates gender inequality, mainly affecting women and girls, thus preventing them from reaching their full potential. Research shows that when we are 4 years old, both boys and girls say they want to be the president, but by the time they are 12, girls say they want to be models, while boys still maintain that they want to be the president. By continuing to offer hair styling/dress-up/make-up apps, the children’s digital gaming market continues to expand these gaps. This serves as a significant development barrier for girls.

Toya is changing this by creating a brand of digital games designed to inspire and motivate young girls to realize their full potential. We are developing multi-layer games on a Minecraft platform that meet the diverse needs of girls. Our playful learning experience combines unique elements that enable girls to become the heroes while revealing the life stories of exceptional women.
